GFG President Alan Roehrig Retires as President after 20 Years With Company.
Robb Williams Named as Successor.
January 28, 2010. Sussex, WI – GFG has announced that Alan Roehrig has stepped down as president effective as of January 1, 2010. Alan will remain with the company through the end of 2010 in an advisory capacity. Robb Williams, GFG’s senior vice president, was named Mr. Roehrig’s successor as president.
“It has been an honor and pleasure to have been president of GFG for the last 20 years. I am extremely pleased that Robb Williams was named as my successor. It is important to me that GFG will be in capable hands in the future and I know that is the case with Robb” said Alan Roehrig.
“What I’ll miss the most is the daily talks Alan and I used to have where we could candidly discuss anything and everything relating to our business and our customers,” said Robb Williams. “The good news is that Alan will still be available as an advisor so those discussions can continue for at least another year.” Robb added, “There is no doubt that the immediate future is going to be a challenge for our business, as it has been for nearly all businesses of late. Fortunately, we have the best product and the best people working in our organization so I’m confident that we will be able to leverage those assets and be positioned for expanded growth as soon as the business climate improves.”
Since coming to GFG in 1989 as president, Alan Roehrig was instrumental in elevating the Milwaukee-based company to a world-class manufacturer which experienced a market expansion into over 40 countries. During his reign, GFG introduced numerous innovations and products to the coil coating equipment marketplace with product line offerings that include roll coaters, laminators and embossers, Peabody Electrostatic Oilers, and fully integrated processing line systems.
